RE: H9 Sundowner
Only flown my sundowner twice now. I agree it has an awful nose-over tendency on grass. I almost have to either gun the throttle with full up elevator for the first 20 feet or give it a slight push to get her rolling and then feed in the power. Other than that it is a great plane. I got her about 300ft and tried some medium speed turns and it will pitch up and rollover on its back so fast it will make your head spin. Has to have the speed to make even a normal rate turn. Other than that it lands beautifully....fast but predictible. As everyone else says....don't let it get slow and you will be ok. I also built the 50 size with an EVO 61NT and it is just the most fun little plane. No bad snap tendencys or anything, I perfer the small sundowner over the large one. The big on is very pretty and impressive in the air, but isn't any faster than the small one. I mostly got the plane for speed, so I feel better flying around $300 than $1000.
