If i were you I would invest in a a good peak detection rc car charger that can charge up to 8 cell nicad and nimah batteries. the newer ones come with a tamiya style receiver battery adaptor, you might have to make one for you tx battery. I use vision 2 peak charger to charge my rx battery, unfortunatly it supports only 7 cells, so I can't charge my tx pack, but 8 cell peak charger should.
