I do not doubt that Scott has had some tough times. And, I've pretty much left him alone up until now. I cannot understand why he will not answer e-mail or answer his phone. At some point you have to regain contact with your business contacts and customers regardless of your personal issues. I know this is another post similar, if not identical, to the other that you pointed out but I like many others also have commitments that must be met and customers that must be satisfied and I am just trying to make contact.
