However, if one is looking for a Saito, or a YS, in nearly any condition; he's unlikely to end up paying less than the new, street-price of that engine...
What person in his right mind, would pay the same, or even more, for a used engine, in a condition which is questionable and with no warranty whatsoever; than for a new engine of the same make and model?...
This happens often in the bidding frenzy and there are also sellers that mis-represent their merchandise (for example that Cox engine described as a 'classic, out of production, rare unit', while it was still in production and sells for half of what that used engine eventually fetched...), 'engineering' the bidders to be willing to pay...
