Mav, you measure the throw from the wingtip end, some people may differ there methods Ive never had any dramas with what I do.

I was extremely happy with the way it flew, rock solid in the air, just make sure your c of g is spot on also regards your hopper tank as stated does not matter what way it goes I have mine facing the front and it works fine.
