I am running a 9-tooth pinion on my Speed 300 (6 volt) with a stock tail motor and it works just fine. I used to have it running with the (old style) stock mixer (I'm running seperates now) with no problem. It almost sounds like the new mixers don't have enough mixing of the tail motor...
