What you say is theoretically true, but the 10x6 loads the engine more than the 10x5. If the 10x5 allows the engine to unload and turn much faster in the air, it is possible for the airplane to go faster with the lower pitch prop. That depends on the torque and horsepower curves of the individual engine, so it may happen on the Magnum 30 or it may not.
Experimenting with props gets expensive when you have to buy three of each, so I'm hoping that someone here has actually tried both props on the Magnum.
