Pull-start turns wheels...
Hi all,
I have a very old (7-8 years old) nitro RC car and I have no idea what brand it is. All I know is that the motor is a CEN NT-16 motor. I just got the receiver replaced on the unit so I could use it. It ran great for 10 minutes or so and then died randomly. I started it again, played with it, then I started messing with the fuel. I'm not sure what you call it, it is the big dial that you can turn to tune to air/fuel ratio. It is located on the carb.
After that, my car would not start anymore. I messed with it some more, set it back to the factory 3 turns out and it started a few times but died again. I noticed there were a lot of air bubbles in my fuel line. I squeezed them out, started the car and this time it ran strong but was revving very high and kept trying to go forward. Everytime I would adjust the throttle down a little it would die so I left it revving high. I started to mess with the fuel adjustment while the car was on and it kept revving for a good minute or so. Then it suddenly died and there was noticeable smoke coming from around the exhaust area closest to the engine.
Now, whenever I pull on the pullstart, the wheels turn with it. I have no idea what I did but it seems really bad. Any help appreciated!!!!
(Also, the plunger thing to pump the fuel on my tank snapped off, is there another way to pump the fuel? I've been squeezing the fuel lines which is very tedious).
Thank you!
