There are numerous factors that could have contributed to your crash.

By installing the 2.4 system you should virtually eliminate the possibility of radio interference being a cause of a crash and you can also program the fail-safe function as well.

Other potential failure contributors could be your power system, fuel mixture or other mechanical failure.
