Guaranteed? WOW!! Does that GUARANTEE include replacing your plane? That would be a GUARANTEE.
Hehe, I admire gaRCfield's enthusiasm, I couldn't help but chuckle when I read this and remembered the scene from "Tommy Boy" where Chris Farley finally sells his first order of brake pads:
"I could crap in a box and mark it guaranteed if that will help you sleep at night, but the only thing you've bought is a guarantee!"
In all fairness, the two "guarantees" that Performance Devices offers on their website are both pretty good:
"Performance Devices guarantees all of our products to be in perfect condition upon purchase and defect-free for life to the user. In regard to our crystals, we would like all of our customers to send them back to us if your R/C plane, boat, car or truck experiences a crash. Because a crystal is a delicate electronic component, it should not be re-used after a severe impact. We replace these crystals at no charge without question and only ask for a small fee for shipping, packaging and handling.
For replacement of the crystal set, the user needs to do the following:
Send the suspect crystal single or set to Performance Devices Inc., PO Box 1043 Soulsbyville, CA. 95372, Attention QA Department along with $3.00 for return postage ($6.00 for customers outside of the United States). A replacement single or set will be returned immediately!"
Futaba won't replace my receiver crystals for $3 shipping and handling after a crash. This is a pretty cool guarantee.

Performances Devices crystals are outstanding quality. The company stands behind their products. They are also knowledgable, helpful, and provide good customer service. They are a very specialized company that manufactures a very specialized product and they sell it for a very fair price.
