That's a good question but I'm not sure I have a good answer. Basically, yes, you let all the coats dry and THEN remove the tape. But if you've let the paint get too thick you may have problems with the paint peeling off. Also it's really important to put a clear sealing coat over all the markings (the top coat) to bind everything together. I had some problems with the markings on the fuse peeling off the underlying PC10 but I think that was because I had put the paint on too thick. Also it might be wise you go around the edge of the marking very lightly with an exacto blade before removing the tape. I also made a point of only pressing down the inside edge of the tape to avoid pulling up the paint underneath.
Anyway, how you paint your model is WAY down the road!
