She came over my house today,a hard banking right turn back towards Lancaster
only about 1000 ft last time i saw one was at Fairford many years ago
Mark,
I believe she did a flypast over Lancaster as a mark of respect for one of her long-time engineers whose funeral took place there today.
She came to Brize to operate out of here at a few airshows this weekend, but I'm told she has an U/C problem that might prevent this happening. Can't be anything to do with the landing she made today...probably the smoothest I've ever seen, with the rear pair of wheels on the ground for ages before the front pair of the bogie touched down!
Dick
PS...why do we refer to aircraft as 'she'?!!
Thats nice to hear, bet he enjoyed that looking down on her
as for calling them"she" well if you treat them right they look after you, treat them wrong well you know what females can be like
