Default Xtreme Frame Stiffener

Ok I got the frame stiffener and the battery tray set up from Xtreme and was installing it and the directions state that you use the long screws in the kit for the two holes on either side of the main bearing and one also on the front, but used two seperate screws on the holes just behind the motor. I took a look at the thread on the stiffener when it first came out and it looks like that one used the long screws on all of the bolt holes and they all went through the plastic frame and threaded into the other side of the stiffener. I guess in short the stiffener I have is different than the one shown earler. Now it seemed that I could only get one of the shorter screws to thread into the plastic frame from one side and the other just went all the way in and didnt thread into anything. The stiffener I have has oval holes on both sides for the mounting point just behind the motor and this is different that the one I saw before. Have they changed the design?? Now I fixed the problem with a piece of m2 threaded rod and two aircraft style nuts so it kinda works like the other bolts, but was wondering why they would change the design as the original I saw was much better.
