The esc does get hot but i can hold my finger on it for a long time. The pitch curve is 35 50 100 in non idle up and throttle curve is 0-100.There isn't too much info about the esc in the manual. I was getting mutch better flight times on my cp pro. I have heard that brushless motors are not very efficient at lower rpm. Maybe my hover headspeed is too low??. It doesnt seem to be binding at all. I did have to loosen the belt out of the box was very tight. Motor pinion seems to have some play at three diferent spots on main gear. I can measure esc temp but wouldn't know what to compare it too.
