RE: Dramatic RC Raceway
Review on my Jammin X2 truggy
I have been racing a Jammin X1 truggy for 3 years and must say that its an awesome truck. I remember when the X1 CRT was top dog nothing could touch me on the track. The day the firt Mugen trucks came on the scene I thought wow these trucks seem like buggies they were just awesome. eating up the track. I had a hard time beating the new truggies on the market. They were just better than the X1 CRT. I really had to push jard to get to stay in front. The X1 truggy just seemed docile and heavy. You coudnt really do what you wanted, you had to nurse it and drive with skill.
Now for the X2:
I got my kit on Friday and immediately started with the build.
The build was easy as I have built many X1's and X1X's.
What I can say is the plastics is alot harder. Its noticably harder. The car went together easy.
The main changes are:
on the diffs the pinion and diff crown wheels spiral cut and finer.
The harder plastics
the low centre of gravity, small spur gear.
chassis is narrower and weight shifted to front and narrower.
the side gaurds, fuel tank is narrower and new fuel line layout works awesome.
The body is harder, thicker plastic and longer as is the chassis.
With all this changes I tought this truck is completely different.
Testing:
Yesterday at the track I took the X2 and coudnt wait for a test run.
First impression was WOW. "Tame the Beast, Tame the beast" was my thoughts for nthe first 4 laps.
This is a new truck IMO. A new era in truggy racing has started.
This truck is not like the X1 it behaves totally diferent. It accelerated and drives like a buggy. Awesome acceleration and handling. The truck is responsive and agile and a beast on the track. The new low profile wheels is just doing the job. I enjoyed the truck so much that I decided to remove the Jammin 21 to reinstall my OS Speed.
