Unstable, I've thrown a single axis JR gyro in my losi nitro truck and it does allow you to overdrive the track (AKA spinning around for corners). You just have to change your radio inputs and resist the temptation to counter steer. When you ask for full left, the gyro is countersteering to give a constant rate of change in rotation. Sensitivity adjustments can improve performance as well.
