Thats a great idea for the needle valve. It just makes me feel better if I can adjust the needle valve if i have to, which you are right isnt that often. As far as the muffler goes it just isnt long enough to exit the cowling. So as it stands now it is blowing exhaust all over the inside of the cowling and making a real mess of things.
