Just to add salt to the wound; Girls refer to an internal combustion engine as a motor, Men refer to them as engines, "a Tim Taylor caveman grunt and growl"

BTW, its an engine, not a motor. Motors are electric (like brushed and brushless), engines are strictly mechanical as their primary design.

Jim, I beg to differ.

I don't own an enginecycle, I own a motorcycle. I also own a motor boat.

If you look up the two terms in a dictionary you'll find that they are pretty much interchangable

Motor may be the most accepted term when refering to the device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy but to say that an internal combustion device is not a motor is wrong.
