2Brave try checking Post 942 and 943 from this forum. You will find an example of how Rcten mounted his 170. I am just about to mount my 170 ion my Super Stearman using a different (not saying better) method. I'll post some pictures soon. The Saito 170 Radial develops about the same horsepower as a Saito 120 single cylinder: According to Saito manuals Saito 120 2.2 H.P., Saito 150 2.5 H.P. and saito 170R 2.0 H.P. I don't believe the 170 is too much power for this plane. I am with Rcten re: great sound and great match for this plane. Be sure to use an on board glow driver so you don't lose a cylinder at low power settings (8:00 cylinder can be especially bad for this) especially until the engine is completely broken in.
