Default New to Raptors HELP

Gents
I am new to modern Heli's.
I have flown them before around 20 Years ago, got to a 'reasonable' level of competence but never what you would call, good.
I have flown twin rotor indoor and small electric single rotor, full cyclic.
I have just purchased an unused Raptor V2 with a 39 motor.
The kit was never finished.
I am at final stage now, and hope to test it this weekend.
An experienced Heli man has offered to set it up for me.

The Radio is a 12FG 2.4 system with an 8 channel rx.
Servos were in the model they are cheap 148 servos.
Now I know these are not the best but I would expect them to be OK for my training sessions, and can be replace as I improve.
The Gyro is a PG2000 II from Century .

I have been proceeding with the setup and have come across a problem.

When I link the Rudder servo through the gyro, all is fine.
When I give full left, all is fine.
Full right and the servo jitters and jumps back and forward.
I also find it has poor ‘hold’.
Now I thought it may be the servo but I have removed the Gyro and plugged the servo in direct, all is now well. Good hold and stability.

Any ideas.
Also any hints and tips please, all would be gratefully received.

Best regards
