Your Super Decathlon is awesome...

Please post pics of your other planes. One can never have to much eye candy...Lol..
Well, I took some pointers and tips from Jay, and with his encouragement I took up the Typhoon on its maiden... That thing is great ! Very tame, but yet can be very sensitive. So I just kept it very smooth and quiet for the first flight. Landing is different from the Challenger that's for sure. I have the rates set on low right now, but thinking the next time to feel it out with them more reactive, and set it higher.

Looking forward to the next flight hopefully this weekend !

Jeff....that plane looks like it could be an AWSOME aerobatic (3D for the younger guys). The landing was a tad hard. Establish a landing pattern, and do some low passes at slow speeds (practice). Take it out and come in for a final at a good distance, cut the motor and establish a glide path with a nice even rate of decent (adjust altitude as needed but remember, down elevator increases ground speed so kinda keep the nose as level as possible, use the throttle and a little nose up to slow things down and prevent stalls). As it's comming at you about 6ft away, you should be about flaring with the wheels inches off the deck. As you flare, airspeed decreases, and it settles into the landing. Don't over flare, or flare too high up. When the wheels touch...it should be beside you. I've landed and stopped a .40 sized gasser 2ft from my body many times. You're doing great...practice/practice/practice.
