Speaking lens filters, this just happened not 10 minutes ago when my cat jumped up into my lap and knocked my camera into the floor while I was offloading pics to my laptop. Fortunately it was the only casualty.
I guess I avoid that problem since I pull the CF card out and insert it into the computer. That way my camera is usually not on my desk if the hairy kids decide they want up one my desk, where Tigger is laying now. At least your camera is ok.
Here's one of several photos I took yesterday at the local zoo. I had to take the photo through glass, but I don't think it came out too bad (especially since I can't seem to remember to screw ow any other kind of filter other than a protective filter).
