I make my own hinges out of worltech fabric covering. The basic idea is to take to strips about an inch to inch and a half wide and then with the glued sides out, sew them together down the middle with a small stitch setting on a sewing machine. Now you just iron on your hinge and then cover as normal. This technique will produce a strong, gapless hinge.

This is the only type of hinge I an currently using. I have never used CA hinges, and don't plan to start.
