On the Super Box Fly40 that I'm rebuilding, it has a tricycle landing gear. The front wheel has a "T" attachment right above the "spring coil".... WHAT IS THIS THING FOR???? I can't see any way to mount a servo control arm to it, so I'm just a little baffled as to what this thing is supposed to accomplish... My other 2 planes don't have this kind of front wheel setup, so this is new to me.

This is probably a "oh, give me a break!" question for most of you, but I'm a little stupid

It's the "white" (well, "greasy white", thing in the picture right above the spring coil) that I'm talking about. And should the "coil" be facing forward or backwards?
