Default RE: Horizon Hobby Scam

Scam or not, that's a 47% increase in price. If I tried to raise my professional fees by 47% at the drop of a hat I'd be out of business quick. At $189 I thought it was a good buy for a plane I'd probably get bored with pretty quick. As the local Hobbytown only received 2 of the Pawnee kits at introduction and both of them sold to the same guy, I told the owner months ago I'd like one and he's had 4 or 5 of them on order since. I'll call him tomorrow and tell him to take me OFF the list.

Its not a scam, its a conspiracy. Horizon hobby is going to kill the over the counter hobby shop ARF airplane market by raising the prices. Potential newbies to the hobby that have never built a model airplane in their life won't buy them due to the price and the "fear" of crashing it. So they'll buy an R/C car. And you can bet there is a LOT more money to be made in the R/C car market and all the "hop up" and replacement because you had no fear and crashed it parts that Horizon will do well.

Thats my take and I'm sticking to it.
