Hey all,
Since I havent seen any of these on RCU lately I thought I would post a few recent pics of mine, officially known as the 1/12 scale Heilang Toys (not Heng Long) Panzer, but is really an M1A2 Abrams. These are often found cheap on ebay and discount web stores, are very big (around 85cm or so) and a great project-tank, but be warned: they perform woefully out-of-the-box.

It started life as one odd piece of a machinery (see above), and over time I have done many things to make it a little more like the real-life Abrams, like lowering the turret closer to the upper hull and limiting the suspension to give correct scale height. Have tried numerous electronics configurations but stuck with Heng Long S&S (RX14). Then theres the cosmetic side, many mods performed to get it looking right, as it comes with many unwelcome additions, mostly things places they shouldn't be - missiles, giant external fuel drum, molded cooling fans, odd toolboxes and big weld beads where there shouldnt be any.
Anyway, heres a few pics (and a funny [link=http://members.iinet.net.au/~wackywheelz/abrams.wmv]
