In my GT i have a 18 bell and a 62 spur gear and that is far more than enough ,any smal stone on the track can launch the car up in the air ,i have tried a 20 t bell but the MIP clutch burned with it and i now have a alloy home made clutch that will never slip .
Believe me ,a 18/62 combo will get you to speeds that might scare you with a GT
I'm not going to be racing it but I want to see how fast I can get it to go . I shooting for 60+ mph!!! I had a firestorm that I set up and got into the 50's with an 18CVR the gt is lighter and the tz has more power ad I have more gearing options too. right now I have a 54T spur in the car and an 18T clutch bell. but I am going to get a 24t clutch bell bell. you do bring up a point though about the clutch slipping if the gearing is too tall. I have an MIP clutch so we will see how it holds up. this will be a trial and error proscess to get the best gearing setup that I want .
