I never tried a Forstner bit for those holes. I always use a sharpened brass tube in a drill press. Works great. I bore the holes all the way through but if you see how Don Szczur did the ones on his VF-3 you might want to give it a try. He only bores the hole about 3/4 of the way through. This is much neater than going all the way through (you don't have to blend the hard point into the control surface on the top).

No, not me. I just can't cross over to the Dark Side... I bet an OS 160 on 30% would pull a VF-3 just fine. Seriously, I may pick up a YS 170. I'm going to run the crap out of it on the stand before it goes in an airplane though.
