I had a friend in Japan find out from Yamada directly. Here's the news:

- The Conversion kit for the DZ170 will be available in 30-45 days.
- DZ170 CDI engine will be shipped in 2-3 months.

According to the person in Yamada, the release to the US market will be a
couple of months later than the Japan market.

He also suggested the best way is to make an advance order at on of the shops in
Japan. Then you can get the product immediately right after the market release at
a price cheaper than the "official" price on the Yamada Website.
