Kevin, that's a basic programming question that is covered by the user manual.
I suggest you have a look at it and then come back to ask for more pertinent question. This will avoid waisting some good willing nice chap's time.

Although it is not the same radio, it is very well written and explains a lot of "basic programming general philosophy".
I don't want to be nasty, it is just that the way this thread is started it will end up in a 10x user manual plagia...
Oliver...no one has to answer a question, its a choice that one makes. So I doubt anyone on this forum felt they wasted their time by helping someone out. I bet you have never asked a question that was not covered in a users manual, right?
