I perfer Futaba but that preference was based on 72 mhz radios. At the field i fly at dual conversion is mandatory due to some strange inerference problems we have there. JR is single coversion so their owner shun our field to prevent being shot down. This does NOT seam to be the case with 2.4 radios so my final opnion if you get one of those two brands you will be in great shape. I would consider what Ed said about determining you current needs and try to anticipate future needs as well, then buy your radio.
