Thanks for PM and encouragement. Power was restored late last night.
Extended camping experience was made more enjoyable by cooler
nights in the 50's and highs in low to mid 80's for four days while we
were without power. Minimum personal property damage...fencing
and large trees downed. Wife and I finished repair of fence yesterday
morning.

As sections East of us came back online I went to a sandwich deli and
used notebook with their WiFi Tuesday and Wednesday at dinner time.
Latest power grid projections for metro Houston is 90+% back up by
Tuesday.

All points East and South of us are projected in weeks... Marshal law is
said to be enforced along portions of coast. East of Galveston Bay
looks more like Haiti than rural Texas coastline.
