2 weeks ago a guy had this happen to him at the field. The plane started jumping up and down in the air and then went in. At first he didnt know what happened and when he picked up the radio again to see what was still working the elevator would go up and down but wouldnt go to neutral itself. I believe the spring broke. Had a nice little glow profile too.
