I dont have a ramunition, but seeing as you are a beginner I'm going to offer some advice.
In this hobby, it is not necessary to think like an engineer all the time. Most times the simplest ideas are the best ones.
Grab the manual that came with the truck. Even if it sucks (sometimes they do) and dont explain everything step by step; looking at the exploded view can help tons.
Look how everything is supposed to go together on your front suspension. Now grab your truck and look at how it is currently. Find the differences. Make it match your manual or exploded view pictures.
This should also give you a better understanding of how all the parts "fall" together and work together.
Also gives you part numbers so you can google them and find replacements
