The best method is to follow the instructions that are included in the manual for the engine. One very important step that is in that manual is step #8 on page 6 of the manual. It states:

Do not exceed 4,000 rpm for the first 10 minutes of operation: This allows all parts to mate properly with good lubrication.
There are always a lot of "somebody told me" in this hobby, and that is especially true for engine break-in. But I have always been of the thought that the manual should always be your number 1 source of information in the break-in of your engine. Especially when it's from a good company such as Saito or OS. They know their stuff and you can't go wrong following their instructions.
