Nitro 4wd e-conversion
I'm currently trying to convert my Dad's CEN 1/10 rally car into an electric.
I want to make sure I get something to adequately power it. The nitro engine is a NX 3.0 (.18 I think). The transmission is a two speed and I would like to use the nitro gearing and clutch if there isn't a problem doing so with electric.
What kind of motor and esc should I consider to power 4wheel drive and get around 45mph that the car is advertised to do out of the box? Speed isn't a huge deal if it doesn't go that fast.
I have a slash that is stock. Along with a Quark 65a brushless esc and a VXL motor on the way. Would the XL5 and 12T Titan be up to the challenge other than the speed?
I have 2s and 3s A123 packs. My brother has 6 cell nimh packs.
Once I solve my biggest issue of attaching the gear and clutch assembly to the motor then I can do some testing. Just looking to pick a few brains that have a little conversion exp.
