RE: GP Super Stearman
I thought that Saturday was going to be the day, for me. My taxi testing went well. The G-23 had plenty of power and the Stearman felt light and was ready to lift off.
I throttled back, to taxi back to the pits, when the motor died.
The inspection revealed a nonlinear throttle response. Too much play in the lower end of throttle, making it impossible to get consistant low idle. I'm using the B&B throttle kit, but the problem seems to be in throttle arm on the G-23.
Has anyone else encountered a similar problem ? I'd like to get this solved before I put this beauty in the air.
