Default Engine Goes WOT with Radio On?

I have an Enforcer-powered Bonzi that I'm messing around with. It came with a Hitec radio with 75.49 or so frequency. I tried to run it yesterday and what I found is that I can get it to start and with the radio off I can operate the throttle and it comes back to idle pretty well. I ran it around the lake and I noticed a couple of times it wanted to dart off at WOT while I had transmitter on idle. It died and I took a cool swim to retrieve.

The issue I'm noticing is that while it starts and accelerates fine with radio off, when I start with the radio on, after gassing it a couple of times the throttle servo goes to WOT and will NOT return to idle. It's almost like the engine is emitting something that confuses the receiver and sends throttle all one way.

If you search the forum, you can find where I'm pretty new to this stuff. We did verify that the fail-safe was operating correctly and that the radio operates perfectly with the engine off.

Any suggestions?
