RE: Post here if you rn Gas/Glow engines
There just has to be something funky with your setup or your tuning Captain. These Gas/Glow engines just aren't that finicky. The one on my Katana sat for a year without running. I took it to the field, fired it up, let it warm up good, and went flying. No adjusting, tuning; nothing necessary to do once they are setup properly.
Sometimes they will start up in reverse, but to NO ill effects. I have had them start in reverse, and sometimes when I lower the idle to kill it, they pop and take off in the correct direction by themselves!! They then run perfectly, having suffered nothing.
One thing to know is that they do take a little longer to warm up than a normal gasoline only engine. All your tuning must be done with the engine completely warmed up, which might take a couple of minutes or so depending on conditions.
Start from scratch and recheck everything. If you can't make it work, then hey, it's just not for you. Stick to gasoline.
Good luck,
