It swells up about 4-5 times larger than when you started, it depends on humidity, you can even mist it with water for more foaming...just take a couple pieces of scrap wood, glue them together, use a clamp , watch how much it expands as a test.. I love the stuff, makes a light tough gripping gusset all down the joint...
