Default RE: Super Pershing Build

For the gun tube, (Army terminology= tube.) use another Pershing gun, cut the tube right at the muzzle brake and the added section just where it starts to expand, and it'll be right on. (or very close) Pull the metal BB tube out a couple inches and slide the new piece right on. All that is needed is a little finesse in filling/sanding the crack. My Super P gun is 30 cm. If Septon can make one...great!

Added armor, you can make from sheet styrene....surely someone in UK carries it. Use the photos from Dick Hunnicutt's book Pershing. Also need to convert the loader's hatch to a round "finger chopper" split hatch. I used an old Tamiya Sherman turret and simply cut out the hatch and made a round hole in the turret for it. You absolutely need the T-81 track....the standard track just doesn't look right. [:'(]

Work the front suspension to sag a bit at the front. The added armor on the 2 supers that were in Germany was really hard on wheel bearings and shocks. I added a screw and blocked the suspension from raising all the way. Good luck. Lotsa work[>:]
