RE: Dean Lassek A-10 - from the bottom
Hey coolers
Thanks for the response. Those motors seem like they would be a big savings in weight for the rear compared to the ones that united hobbies suggested. Way smaller. I just wonder how good they are. I have the 4.5" and 5" united hobbies fans. I will have to get a pair of these and try them out. I still have not had time to try out the ones i have.
I saw a demo of the real plane in chico, california this last weekend. There was only a handful of people that were able to get close to them and i was fortunate enough to be one of them. I was able to get some walkaround video of the outside and in the cockpit. Tried to get as much detail as i could. The pilot strapped 2 cameras in the cockpit, one facing forward and one back for his demo. He showed me when he came back. I should have had him strap my camera in. Pretty crazy.
I have checked out your ejf warthog and you have done a great job on it. Nice weathering. Seeings im not much for painting I was thinking about asking you to do mine. Robert at ejf seems like a great guy to go to when it comes to the A10. I have talked to him for hours before and discussed selling it on his site. It seems like you do great work as far as building and i would be happy to get one of these out to you. The only thing i would ask for is material cost, shipping, and a little extra to slip to the guy that has been helping me so i can keep him motivated. Even though i am in a great slump right now, i dont care to make money off the first few. Just want to get a few out there and get them rolling. Just let me know if you would be interested and thanks for the info on the motor.
