Thanks ksoc,
The final electronics part arrived yesterday, hopefully it will allow the gun mount to rotate to 90deg each side instead of just 45deg.
I'm looking forward to the battle testing, ought to be a real kick.
The 251C is expected to be the very 1st to die on the battle field, just as soon as the Allies figure out just how much of a threat it's going to be.
You guys are probiliby getting tired of hearing about this, but I thought I'd do an update to show that not all projects go well all the time.
When I took the "Flak-trac" out for her 1st combat trials, it didn't go as planned at all. The 1st test drive on the battlefield resulted in a shredded left side track drive gear box after moving about 6 feet.
That ended the day for the 251c.
When I got it home and later upon investigation found that both track drive were in very bad shape from being too light to do the job. So went back to the drawing board.
I did try several different options and eventually went back to the gearbox that I had orginally installed in my 1/18 scale Prototype Pakwagon.
This seems to be the best option at least so far.
I made some new changes which cannot be seen though they can be heard, I did some small modifications to the engine sounds from EL-Mod and now the 251 really sounds good.
What I did was to use the gas engine sounds for the m4 sherman(Thanks to EL-Mod again) and the 251 took on a whole new personality.
I plan to add a brake light and functional headlights. I have also found a better 20mm gun sound but still having problems with getting it converted to the format that EL-Mod Blaster uses.
s'all for now
Regards,
