Yes, i talked this over with my dad who formerly worked as a car mechanic (still does all the work on our actual cars) and he agreed completely with what you guys are saying. There would be apparent sounds if it were a problem with the engine. Its getting good revving there is simply something slipping in the connection somewhere between the engine and wheels.
