Default RE: New CMP Cessna 182 .52 size

I think the problem comes from people thinking this plane will fly like a trainer. That ain't gonna happen folks! It's heavy and has a pretty scale outline. That means very little wing area/high wing loading with the attendant high landing speeds and tip stalling if you get it too slow. I have a gorgeous, .25 size, very scale Hyperion Cub that is the most unnerving beast in my hangar. It looks great in the air and flys well until I get 1 mph slower than it wants to fly. Then it tip stalls, snaps and falls out of the sky with absolutely no warning. I expect this Cessna will have exactly the same flight characteristics. Keep that in mind and fly it like a warbird for the first few flights and I'm sure you'll easily adjust to find the lower speed limits of the plane right away.

Unfortunately recent unemployment is forcing me to sell mine at a local R/C swap meet on the 18th and I won't get a chance to finish and fly this beautiful plane. If it doesn't sell I won't be heart broken. I'll be happy if I can only afford to keep it as a display model. It looks THAT good!
