Default hunt for hover prop

I been messing around with an Fun Tiger that a friend of mine gave me. I got it recovered and been messing around with it seeing what it will do.

I been having a good time with it but been aggravated looking for a good prop that I can hover with. Usually I like using wooden props do to fact that they have instant revs. The lightweight of it makes a nice advantage over APC.

I started out with one of those APC 12.25 X 3.75 and it had great pull and was very easy to hover with. I would have used a wooden but could not find one in those specs. But, APC's are so dang heavy and it really spins up slow on my TT .46 . I had nothing but problems finding a sweet spot on the engine for that prop. It either dies in air loads up no matter what I do. I got it set a a good spot but when going into hover it spins up so slow I loose the advantage of the prop.

I then tried an APC 11 X 5 and the engine ran perfect. It didn't , load up and had a good response to idle to WOT. Nice revs with it. But it was real jerky at hover and was a real pain to stay in hover. The hovers looked nasty more or less. I felt myself going from 3/4 to WOT to stay in hover and was a real pain.

My question is what are you guys using? What have you guys found to be a good all around prop for hovering. I am not looking for regular straight line speed prop but something that can hold its weight nicely and easy to work with.

Also preferably wooden over APC.
