Default RE: Flaperons on the F-18

Hi guys, I recently tried this configuration on me new Skymaster F-18F. So this is what I found out...

In regular configuration the F-18 will need some up elevator when lowering only the flaps. Well when I lowered the ailerons as flaps also my F-18 pitched down and I needed a whole lot of up elevator to keep the F-18 from diving. This is when I understood the rudders role on this. If you make both rudders point inwards this will help the F-18 bring the nose up without adding much more up elevator like in regular configuration, this way you have full elevator travel. I have seen pictures of the ruddesr this way on landing pictures of the F-18.
With my 14mz I made a mix that with one move I lower the flaps, lower the ailerons, apply up elevator and point both rudders inwards. Thanks to the 14mz triming capabilities I could trim every mix on the air until I achieved straight and level flight.
After straight flight was acheived the jet flew very well.
I also had the alievators mix on, so the elevators moved also as ailerons and the ailerons also did move a bit even when flaps down. This would help on low speed flight.
Now on landing I found out that the F-18 floated too much, the jet would not want to come down and also I had some wind that did not help on stability... I would recommend probably using the speed brakes on landing to help on this. I use it on regular configuration landings and they make the jet much more stable for landings but I forgot to try them, on this configuration.
Anyway with this configuration the posibility of flying on a very short runway is very good.

Here is a video of the first landing... You can see how much the jet floats on landing and also how the alievators are working... very nice...
