Default RE: Going Slow is The Way To Go - Tamiya CR-01 Resource Thread!

I'm using a Novak Rooster Crawler ESC. Its working pretty well for me, pretty strong drag brake so it holds decently on inclines, rolls slowly on steeper inclines. Goes nice and slow for crawling. A friend told me if I changed the pinion it would hold even better. The stock motor on my rig barely gets the ESC heated. Even lots of climbing and tough stuff I've felt the ESC and it was just barely warm. It isn't adjustable, as far as the drag brake hold. If you want adjustability of the drag brake, you have to go with a Tekin FXR. People have good things to say about those.
