Futaba 3154 on 6 volts???
Hey Guys,
I am setting up my new Dragonus Elite and have acquired a Logictech 2100 gyro and Futaba 3154 servo in a trade, that I was going to use on the tail. I have read though that there are some problems with the 3154's on 6 volts in digital mode, so I am evaulating my options. This is my first "serious" setup of a heli, so I'm not SUPER literate on things, so any help would be appreciated. As I see it, I have several options. Should I..
1.) Just run it on 6 volts and hope it holds up
2.) Buy a step down regulator and run it at 4.8 volts? If so, what stepdown should I get? I've never read anything about them.
3.) Run it at 6 volts but in analog mode on the gyro
4.) Buy something like a Futaba 9650 or JR3400g.. any other suggestions?
I was hoping to get it flying this weekend for it's maiden, and would rather nto have to order something and wait for it to come in before I fly, but if it will keep me from wrecking as the result of a fried servo, I will. Could running at 6v volts but in analog mode be a "patch" for now until I either get a stepdown or other servo? As I said before... any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks Guys!,
Todd
