only the rx is in the radio box? why? so your hatch is taped down, and no openings anywhere else on the boat? if so how does the motor run. not trying to be a wise guy, or anything, but why don't you have the servos in the box? get your servos in the box, and replace them just to be safe. water, and electricity DO NOT MIX. seriously bro get all the electronics in the radio box, and i'd bet you will have no more problems. defiantly get a new plug as well. if that's how ya got it take the time to set it up right. i bet ya got a great deal on it due to the previous owner was having the same problem.

hitec servos are fine. i only have 1 hitec radio, and it has worked flawlessly from day 1. the other 8 are futaba, and 2 more are spektrum. my next radio is going to be a futaba fasst ground radio for my rio.
